Privacy

Soviet Innerness is a personal photo blog. We keep things simple: this website does not use cookies, does not show ads, does not profile visitors and does not share your data with advertisers.

Who is responsible

The data controller is BLENDO SRL, Viale Alcide De Gasperi 56, 63074 San Benedetto Del Tronto (AP), Italy. For any privacy question you can write to info@blendo.it.

What data is processed and why

Hosting and technical logs. The website is hosted by Vercel Inc. (USA). To deliver the pages and protect the site from abuse, Vercel’s servers automatically process technical data such as your IP address, browser type, requested page, referrer and time of the request. These logs are kept for a short period and are not used to identify visitors. Photographs are stored on our content platform, operated by Hetzner (EU), which processes the same kind of technical data whenever it delivers an image.

Anonymous statistics. We use Umami (Umami Cloud, EU region) to count visits and understand which pages are read. Umami does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites. It collects only aggregated information: pages visited, referring website, browser, operating system, device type and country. Your IP address is used only to estimate your country and is not stored.

Display preference. If you switch between the grid and the list view of the photos, your choice is saved in your browser (local storage) so that it is remembered on your next visit. It stays on your device, is never sent to us and you can delete it at any time from your browser settings.

E-mail. If you write to us, we use your e-mail address and the content of your message only to reply, and we keep them only as long as needed for the conversation.

Legal basis

Hosting logs and anonymous statistics are based on our legitimate interest in running a secure website and understanding how it is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Replying to your e-mails is based on your request (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).

Transfers outside the EU

Some providers, such as Vercel, are based in the United States. Where data is transferred outside the European Economic Area, this happens on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Links to other websites

This website links to Instagram, Facebook, X, Pinterest and the websites of the publications that have written about the project. These, share buttons included, are plain links: nothing is loaded from those services until you click them. Once you leave Soviet Innerness, their own privacy policies apply.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct or delete your personal data, to restrict or object to its processing, and to receive it in a portable format, by writing to info@blendo.it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority — in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

Changes

We may update this policy if the website changes. The date of the latest update is shown below.
